Old Fashioned Ice Cream


6 eggs

2 cups sugar

½ cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 ½ cups strawberries or fresh berries may be mixed in or added as a topping


In mixing bowl, beat eggs. Add sugar gradually, mix well. Add cornstarch and vanilla, mix well. In large sauce pan bring milk to a boil. Pour half of milk into mixture stirring well, slowly. Add this to rest of milk in saucepan stirring slowly. Cook for about 7-10 minutes. Let cool. Pour into ice cream freezer.
